Phachermo Peak Climbing

From Kathmandu, we will fly towards the Lukla. The scenic flight will go for about 40 minutes. The scenic flight will provide us great opportunity to observe the great view of the high hills covering with the white snow at its peak. After landing at the Lukla, we will continue to walk towards the Phakding at the altitude of 2652m above sea level after the trekking of 3 to 4 hours.

From Phakding, we will trek towards the Namche bazaar. The trekking trail will go through the forest of pine and the Dudh Koshi River. We have to cross the Dudh Koshi River in the suspension bridge and continuing the trekking for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail, we will reach at the Namche bazaar. The night will be at Namche bazaar at 3440m.

Acclimatization is very important before proceeding higher to avoid altitude sickness. You will be taken for a day’s hike through the villages of Khunde and Khumjung and come back to Namche through the Everest view hotel Khumjung. You can see the so called skull of a Yeti in the monastery in the region. You can also visit the bakery at world’s highest altitude. You get to enjoy the panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and many other mountains on a fair day. Even the view from the Everest View hotel is very impressive. After a savory breakfast, you take a steep one-hour climb to the Syangboche airstrip (3790m), from where you will slowly ascend towards Khunde passing numerous chorten (stone Buddhist monuments). From Khunde you follow the trail eastwards to Khumjung, the largest village in the Khumbu region, at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. After enjoying lunch at Khumjung, you follow a gradual climb to Everest View Hotel where you will enjoy the splendid mountain views. Then you descend towards Namche (3540m). 4/5 hours walk.

From Namche bazaar, we will trek towards the Thame village. The trekking will continue for several hours through the main trail which will take us to the Thame village at the altitude of 3480m above sea level.

From the Thame village, we will trek towards the lake camp. We will walk through the main trail viewing the panoramic view of the surrounding. The trekking will continue for several hours until we will reach at the lake camp where we will stay the night.

From the lake camp, we will march towards the base camp of the Phachermo peak. We will trek for several hours to reach at the base camp of the Phachermo peak. The night will be at the tented camp at the altitude of 5100m above sea level.

From the base camp of the Phachermo peak, we will trek towards the high camp of the Phachermo peak. The climbing will continue for 3 to 4 hours to reach at the high camp of the Phachermo peak. The night will be at high camp of the Phachermo peak at the altitude of 5563m above sea level.

From the high camp, we will wake up early in the morning and will begin to climb towards the summit of the Phachermo peak. After climbing for several hours through the main climbing trail, we will reach at the summit of the Phachermo peak from where we can get the glorious view of the surrounding and neighbor mountains. Then we will return back to the base camp of the Phachermo peak.

From the base camp of the Phachermo peak, we will trek towards the Thame village. The walking through the main trekking trail will be pleasant too. After a short trekking, we will rest the night at Thame village.

From Thame, we will trek towards the Namche bazaar. After trekking for several hours, we will reach at the Namche bazaar. We can spend our leisure time at the Namche bazaar visiting at the beautiful palces and the market region.

From Namche bazaar, we will trek towards the Lukla. The trekking trail will go for several hours offering the most panoramic view to the visitors. The night will be at Lukla at one of the local guest house.

From Lukla, we will fly back to the Kathmandu enjoying the great sight of the mountains from the height. The wonderful view of the high hills from the bird’s eye prospects will be interesting to see. The flight will continue for about 40 to 45 minutes. The night will be enjoying at the Kathmandu enjoying with friends.
