Welcome to Kathmandu. Once you reach the airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly received by our airport representative who will help you with the transfer to the hotel on a private car or a bus. After Checking into your hotel (we usually book rooms of Hotel Access Nepal, Hotel Bouddha, Hotel Arts Kathmandu…), you can either rest or stroll around to explore your vibrant surrounding at your convenience.

We apply for China visa and Tibet permit. Overnight at Hotel.

On this day you start your tour of two more UNESCO World Heritage site cities – Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan is also known as the city of Fine arts as Patan Durbar Square still houses the medieval arts and architecture in their original state. The Durbar Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. Similarly, the medieval town of Bhaktapur is a popular tourist destination especially for devotees as it also preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture and lifestyle. Most interesting thing to see in Bhaktapur is wood carving and pottery square. Overnight at Kathmandu. (B)

Early in the morning, we will take a scenic drive to Kerung Border through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. After necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, we’ll go for a 1h adventurous drive by bus and van or a 2h walk uphill. In case of landslide to Chinese immigration, we will check-in to hotel. Otherwise, we will keep driving to Kerung and stay overnight there.

We’ll drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with a typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. From there, weather permitting, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mt Xishapagma (8012m) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From Tingri, you will admire the magnificence of Mt Everest (8848m). We’ll spend the night in a guesthouse.

We will keep driving crossing over Gyatsu La (5220m), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse, from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. We will stay overnight at Yak hotel.

We will go for a morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery, then drive to Gyantse and visit the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. We will spend the night in a hotel in Gyantse.

This day is a full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5010m), Kambala (4749m), colorful Yamdrok-Tso lake and Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). We’ll stay overnight at Flora Hotel.

You will have two full days to discover Lhasa, a sightseeing including Jokhang temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Overnight in a hotel.

Early in the morning, we will drive towards Gonggar aiport or train station for your departure to Kathmandu or to your onward destination to Mainland China. Upon arrival we drive to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Thamel.

It is finally time to bid farewell to this amazing country. Our representative will transfer you to the airport from where you will catch your flight. Bid goodbye to this beautiful nation as you fly to your next destination.
